Unit Standard 30072 - Knowledge of slinging regular loads safely.

This Dogman course is designed for the learner to sling varied regular loads and safely direct a crane during crane operations.‍

Course Objectives‍

Once you've successfully completed the course, the attendee will be able to:

Apply knowledge of risk management, hazard control, and rigging planning to slinging regular loads.
Demonstrate knowledge of the difference between regular loads and irregular loads.
Demonstrate crane industry communication methods; by both radio communication and approved hand signals.
Prepare and sling regular loads, and safely direct a crane during crane operations.‍

‍Important note: All unit standards are awarded by The Skills Organisation of New Zealand.

Proof must be given to show that all the students hold the relevant unit standards as stated in the prerequisite section.
Crane & lifting equipment must be certified when carrying out the practical components of the assessment.
2 objects to lift for the practical components of the assessment.
All students need to provide photo identification, either drivers licence or passport on the day.
A room big enough for all the students to sit & do the written part of the assessment.
